Our villa, on the Hacienda del Alamo golf resort, is located next to the town of Fuente Alamo in the Murcia region of South East Spain. The resort occupies a stunning 550 hectare site with the mountains of the Sierra Espuna National Park as a back drop. The park is Spain’s largest nature reserve, an ideal place for walking, mountain biking, or simply enjoying the tranquility.

There are many beach areas to choose from along the Mar Menor and Mazzaron areas which can be reached in 30 minutes by car. Water sports are available at many of the beaches in the summer months.

Golf
The Hacienda del Alamo golf resort is one of the latest Dave Thomas designed golf course, at over 6,700 metres it is currently the longest golf course in Spain. Built as a desert course it has many water and sand features to test players of all levels. There is also a golf academy with a 6 hole course, driving range and pro shop. The area also enjoys many other golf courses such as the La Manga golf course only 35 minutes away, to less well known new courses only 20 minutes away.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada is 3 hours drive away.
Special interest holidays
Scuba diving, jet ski and sailing are all available in the Mar Manor and Mazarron areas.
Travel
Alicante airport is approx 1hr 15minutes away by car, the nearest airport is San Javier which is 25mins by car. It is recommended that you use a car whilst staying at Hacienda del Alamo so that you can take advantage of all the sites and activities available in the area during your stay.
Distances
The nearest town is Fuenta Alamo which is 5 mins by car, there you will find a large selection of shops, banks, bars and several restaurants. The large cities of Murcia and Cartagena are 30 mins by car, both have extensive shopping, buildings of historical interest and excellent bars and restaurants in the old town areas.
